3M and the WOCN® Society have partnered to recognize and promote health care facilities and their WOCN members who have implemented a patient care regimen resulting in improved skin integrity or the maintenance of patients' skin health as they undergo treatment in a health care facility.
The 3M Award for Excellence in Skin Safety recognizes an individual or clinical team for creating and sustaining a program designed to prevent skin damage. The program may be broad in scope and address not only pressure ulcer prevention, but other types of skin injury such as Incontinence-Associated Dermatitis (IAD) prevention, Medical Adhesive Related Skin Injury (MARSI) and Medical Device Related Pressure Injury (MDRPI).
The successful application team, up to 4 applicants, will receive free registration to WOCNext® 2021 and the program will be recognized during a symposium at WOCNext® 2021: A Virtual WOW Experience with the WOCN® Society and Relias, June 24 - 26, 2021.
